The Effect of Organic Copper Levels in Breeding Japanese Quail (Coturnix coturnix Japonica) Diets on Performance, Egg Quality, Incubation Parameters and Blood Parameters

This study was conducted to determine the effect of different levels organic copper (organic Cu) supplementation on performance, egg quality, serum parameters and incubation characteristics in Japanese quail diets. 120 breeder quails 7 weeks old were used lasted 84 days. Four diets containing (0, 75, 150 225 mg/kg) study. The a random design consisting 20 subgroups with 5 replicates, 4 females 2 males each subgroup. As result this study, final body weight gain significantly lower 75 mg/kg groups than 0 (p<0.01; p<0.05). Egg production, weight, mass, feed intake conversion ratio not affected by dietary (p>0.05). Eggshell thickness eggshell higher control (p<0.05). Serum cholesterol level compared other albumin, globulin total protein group (p<0.01). albumin concentrations highest calcium (Ca) In diet. results showed that adding Cu can be effective improving quality.
